There is a number of farms in Armenia that are currently producing organic vegetables using imported organic seeds of foreign varieties, so it is extremely actual to produce organic seeds of local varieties. Within the framework of the project different means allowable in organic agriculture were tested and introduced for producing ecologically clean, high-value, competitive organic seeds of local varieties of main vegetable crops (tomato, sweet pepper, cucumber) in open and protected cultivation conditions.
