Climate change threatens agricultural sustainability and biodiversity, including multifunctional plants with aromatic, melliferous, and medicinal properties. Adaptation measures such as crop diversification and introducing new species and varieties are essential to maintain their role in agroecosystems. This project aims to expand the species and varietal diversity of multifunctional plants and support their use in functional foods and beekeeping. By assessing yield, functional value, and melliferous potential, suitable plant resources for Armenia will be identified to support agroecosystem balance, high-quality honey production, and increased consumption of valuable functional foods.
